Once they’re in place, the titanium fuses with your bone to form a sturdy base for new teeth. After the fusing and healing process is complete, usually taking a few months, we will attach replacement teeth to your implants and complete your new smile.

Our patients usually experience only mild discomfort after getting their new implants. Dr. Adkison will use local anesthesia to ensure your mouth is numb and you don’t feel any pain. Plus, we offer sedation to help you relax and eliminate any dental anxiety you may experience.
Dental implants could be removed, although it is not likely you would need to have them removed. Once your implants are placed in your jawbone, they will fuse with the bone and last for decades, if not a lifetime. Your replacement teeth attached to the implants will last five to 10 years on average.

In some cases you may also need another procedure, like a tooth extraction or bone grafts, to prepare for implants.
